ProForm 750 Treadmill Review
Our ProForm 750 treadmill review takes a look at one of the best value treadmills in the vast ProForm line up - but is it any good?Well you certainly get a lot for your money, as the 750 is packed with features for under $1,000. Whilst treadmills in this price range tend to have had far too many corners cut to really deliver, I'd say that the 750 is an exception. Parent company Icon has really brought its resources to bear and has largely come up trumps - so how have they done it?
ProForm 750 Treadmill Review - What's it Like...?
ProForm is one of the most popular brands of treadmills - a situation that I've always found difficult to understand.Their treadmills for the most part have been distinctly average - lots of frills but very little substance. However, with models like the 750 and the budget 350, they're now turning out some pretty decent treadmills at prices that make them real contenders. The ProForm 750 is equipped with a 2.25 HP motor, really the minimum you need in a treadmill if you intend to do anything more than walk on it, although the 10% incline adds extra intensity if needed. The treadbelt has a very generous 55" x 20" running area, perhaps too generous as I'd question whether the motor is quite powerful enough to handle it. The ProShox impact absorption system is very good for a treadmill at this price and offers a high level of cushioning and a comfortable ride. The build quality is much better than I anticipated and results in a pretty solid and stable treadmill. The electronic features are impressive, with an easy to read, backlit Clearview display console, which is easy to read and keeps you updated on your workout stats at a glance. The QuickSpeed and power incline controls on the ProForm 750 treadmill are easy to reach and let you make adjustments without interrupting your workout. You also get an EKG heart rate monitor and eight workout programmes with optional iFit.com workouts to download if you're stuck for choice. The warranty on the motor is an excellent 12 years, although it's somewhat cancelled out by the poor 90 day warranties on the parts and labour. The ProForm 750 retails for $999, but you can get it with a substantial discount for $699 at WorkoutWarehouse with free shipping included.
ProForm 750 Treadmill Review - How Does it Rate...?
Overall, the ProForm 750 treadmill is a pretty good machine for the money, particularly at the discounted price. The 750 is packed with features as you'd expect from any Icon brand and is a very good looking and well designed treadmill. For me the 750 is one of the best models in ProForm's line up and whilst not a big fan of this brand, I'd recommend this model for walkers and joggers. It's just a shame about the warranties.
