Sole F80 Treadmill Review

If you're in the market for a $1,000-$2,000 folding treadmill, then the Sole F80 may well be on your list of possibles - if it's not, then it should be!

Sole as a brand regularly receives plaudits from critics and satisfied owners of their treadmills alike. Which comes as no surprise given the outstanding machines they produce.

You don't have to search far to find positive reviews from happy owners all over the internet.

Having reviewed the range, I have to say that I agree with them. The question for me isn't so much about how Sole treadmills rate as a brand, it's more about which is the best model to go for.

However, the F80 has a 15 degree max incline for added intensity during a workout - running up and down a few hills should provide an extra challenge if you need one!

The running surface on this treadmill is 55" x 20" - long enough for the motor without overworking it, whilst the generous 20" width will prevent any feelings of claustrophobia.

The belt measures the same as the F63, but the F80 comes with the superb Cushion Flex Whisper Deck. I was really impressed with it as the deck is both comfortable and responsive to run on and spared my joints from any noticeable discomfort.

The F80 also has 2 3/4" rollers, which are huge for this price bracket. Big rollers help to reduce belt wear and prolong belt life as well as giving you a smoother ride.

Overall the build quality is impressively solid, offering a stable treadmill on which to really stretch out.

Folding treadmills can often feel a little less stable than their fixed deck counterparts but this is not a problem with the F80.

Folding is very easy and once locked into place, the deck is safe and secure and should fit into most available corners.

Sole treadmills all have nice user interfaces and the F80 is no exception, with an easy to read console that makes monitoring your progress during a workout a doddle.

There are six pre-set workout programs and manual programming is simple. You also get two programs that you can customise and two heart rate programs.

A welcome feature found on all Sole treadmills are the easy to reach incline and speed controls on the arm rests. Reaching out to make adjustments on a treadmill in full flight is a pain you could do without!

There are also heart rate sensors in the handles as well as a wireless chest strap, which works well with the heart control feature.

This enables you to manage your workout intensity so your heart stays in the optimal training zone to satisfy your workout goals.

I should also mention Sole's class-leading warranties - 30 years on the motor, lifetime warranties on the deck and frame, a five year warranty on the parts and a two year labour warranty.

Our Sole F80 treadmill review would suggest that this is a better buy than the F63, particularly given the big price hike that the F63 had recently.
