Sole S73 Treadmill Review

Our Sole S73 treadmill review takes a look at Sole's lowest priced non-folding treadmill - is it a good choice for the serious runner?

Sole make great folding treadmills, which quite rightly receive rave reviews all over the internet. But what about their non-folding treadmills, which start with the S73?

If you've the space to leave your treadmill in situ, then you probably don't need a folding model. Why pay the premium that the folding mechanism adds to the price?

The S73 is pretty much the same treadmill as the F83 but with a slightly shorter fixed deck - how does it match up?

Sole F73 Treadmill Review - What's it Like...?

The S73 has the identical 3.0 HP motor, Cushion Flex Whisper Deck, 12mph belt speed, large 2 3/4" rollers, user interface, console and workout programs as the F83. It also inclines to the same 15%.

Aside from the absence of the folding deck, where it differs is in the slightly smaller running area - 55" by 20", compared to the F83's 58" by 20" - and the price, coming in at around $100 cheaper.

Is the smaller belt space a problem? Not really, unless you're a very tall runner that needs the extra 3" to stretch out on.

In which case, the S73's bigger brother, the S77 may prove a better choice.

But let's take nothing away from the S73, as it represents tremendous value for money and is one of the best non-folding treadmills you'll find under $2,000.

Throw in Sole's class leading warranties - 30 years on the motor, lifetime warranties on the deck and frame, a five year warranty on the parts and a two year labour warranty and you've a quality performer that should meet the demands of pretty much any serious home workout.

The S73 retails for $2,099, but our Sole S73 review found it for a low $1,699.99 at Sole with free shipping within the US.

  • Our Sole S73 treadmill review verdict is a definite thumbs up. This is a strong model in the Sole line up that combines performance with value for money.

If you're not struggling for space and don't need a fold up, then save yourself $100 and go for the S73 - it deserves to be near the top of anyone's shortlist.

As is so often the case with Sole's treadmills, they give you so much for the price that you'd be hard pressed to find a similar package on treadmills weighing in at $1,000 more.
