Sole Treadmill Review

Our Sole Treadmill review examines one of the best value for money treadmill ranges in the marketplace - so how do Sole's treadmills stack up against the competition?Sole is owned by the giant Dyaco corporation and has benefitted from some serious investment. This has helped to raise the quality of Sole's treadmills, the brand's profile and its market share. Dyaco also owns Spirit treadmills. Sole's treadmills and the excellent Spirit Z series are pretty much the exact same treadmills, rebadged with a few cosmetic changes here and there. Whilst a relative newcomer to the competitive world of treadmills, Sole has wasted no time in establishing itself as one of the leading mid-price treadmill brands -- and with some justification! The first time I tried a Sole treadmill I was impressed by the build quality, the power of the motor and how quiet it was, the solidity and well thought through design and the comfortable deck. And I'm not the only one to be impressed. If you've ever stayed in a Hilton or Omni hotel and fancied a workout, you may well have used one of Sole's treadmills.A number of hotel chains provide a treadmill as part of an "In Room Fitness" option for guests to use. The treadmill in question is the Sole F85 folding treadmill, which forms part of Sole's folding and non-folding treadmill range. So, a home use treadmill road tested in the demanding commercial hotel environment - are they a good buy?
Sole Treadmill Review - First Impressions...
There's no doubt that if you want to stand out in an extremely crowded market you need to do things a little differently - which is exactly what Sole has done. The company has invested heavily in research and development to enable it to produce quality products with distinctive and innovative features. It's also stuck firmly to the philosophy of giving the consumer as much product as possible...for as little money as possible. There are very few brands that offer as much as Sole do in their treadmills at these kind of prices. The prices for the various models range within the $1,000 to $3,000 price bracket and there are invariably big discounts to be had by buying direct from Sole Treadmills or from some of the leading online merchants.A couple of features stood out for me when conducting our Sole treadmill review. Firstly, the motors, which range from 2.5HP in the entry level F63 up to 3.5HP in the top of the range TT8. Big, powerful units that should run and run. I was also impressed by the outstanding Cushion Flex Whisper Deck available on most of the range - this is one of the best decks I've tried. My sore knees loved it! The big rollers, which range from 2 1/2" to 3" are another valuable feature and not usually found in these dimensions on treadmills costing much less than $3,000-$4,000. Large rollers are important as they minimise belt contact, which reduces friction between the belt and rollers and the subsequent belt tension - resulting in a smoother ride and an extended belt life. And then there's the warranties - perhaps the one feature that makes Sole's treadmills stand out from much of the competition. They come with a 30 year warranty on the motors, lifetime warranties on deck and frame, five year warranties on the electronics, belt and rollers and a two years labour warranty - you also get in-home service thrown in! Sole Treadmill Review - So What do we Think...?
Well, as far as our Sole treadmill review is concerned, this is a company that has begun to rewrite the manual on quality treadmills at competitive prices with market leading warranties and a confidence in their product unmatched in this price range.Offering four folding and three non-folding treadmills aimed at the mid-price market, our Sole treadmill review would conclude that these treadmills, especially the higher end models would give treadmills costing twice the price a run for their money. It really makes me wonder why anyone would pay more for a machine that will give them little extra in terms of performance, design and build quality. Indeed, Sole's treadmills consistently pick up best buy awards in their respective classes, with the F85 being hailed, "One of the best fold-ups on the planet" by Treadmill Doctor. Well that's the overview, you may now find it helpful to take a closer look at each individual review - we hope you find them useful!
