Sole TT8 Treadmill Review
Our Sole TT8 treadmill review tries out a great alternative to a cold, wet run outdoors for the serious athlete - stay dry and train inside with the TT8.This is as close to commercial quality as Sole gets - and I'd quite happily jump on the TT8 at my local gym. With its big motor, wide deck and excellent build quality this is a classy piece of kit. I liked it the moment I set foot on it - so does it deliver commercial grade performance?
Sole TT8 Treadmill Review - What's it Like...?
Well it's not cheap - but then again, you can pick up a TT8 for under $2,500 and at that price it knocks the spots off many far more expensive big name brands.Comparable treadmills from the likes of Precor and Vision have smaller motors and decks and little appreciable difference in build and component quality selling for over $1,000 more. The feature that marks the TT8 out from the rest of the Sole non-folding treadmill range such as the S77 is the extra wide 22" belt. A feature rather uncommon in treadmills at this price and one sure to appeal to runners looking for plenty of room on which to spread out. Now a belt that's 60" x 22" needs a motor with enough grunt to move it without overly straining. The powerful 3.5 HP motor, which is as powerful as you'll get for under $3,000 copes easily. Capable of 12mph and with a 15% incline, the essential ingredients of an intense and demanding workout are all there. It's also very stable, and I found running on it a very similar experience to the $7,000 Life Fitness treadmill at my local gym. Weighing in at 300lbs that shouldn't really be a surprise! Granted, that's heavy and will make moving it around your living room a chore for home users, but find it a permanent home and you'll feel like you're at Gold's! The TT8 has the responsive Cushion Flex Whisper Deck common to most of the Sole range, which is very joint friendly without being in any way spongy underfoot. The oversized 3" rollers smooth out the travel of the belt and minimise friction and tension, which should help to prolong the life of the belt. This is a well equipped machine and our TT8 treadmill review found the expected features for this price range - 10 training programs, speed and incline controls on the arms, a clear and user friendly tri-colour console display with message window, a wireless heart rate monitor and heart rate control. And lest we forget, there's the generous warranties - 30 years on the motor, lifetime warranties on the deck and frame, a five year warranty on the parts and a two year labour warranty. Normally retailing for $2,999, our Sole TT8 treadmill review found it discounted to a low $2,299.99 with free shipping direct from Sole.
Sole TT8 Treadmill Review - How Does it Rate...?
At the sale price, our Sole TT8 treadmill review rates this as a practically impossible to beat non-folding treadmill for the serious runner looking for a near commercial quality home treadmill. Ok, maybe it's more than the average home user needs, but for those wanting a machine to grow into look no further. Great value all round.
